So close, and yet so far
I had this pair of shoes that I bought almost 10 years ago. I wore them until the soles were worn to the ground and the seams around the foot were shredded. And as soon as that happened, I went online to find the same exact pair so I could buy another one.
They weren’t there.
For the last 3 or 4 years, I’ve been looking for those shoes to no avail. Even when I was in Nashville, I was still looking. I loved those shoes.
The other day, I was online looking for a pair of Pumas that I tried on at one of the shoe stores at the mall in Nashville. They were lime green, and cute, and made my feet look cute which is quite a feet (just ask my brothers). Except that I only packed a carry-on for the whole week, and there was no way I was getting one more shoe in my luggage, so I figured I’d just order them once I get home.
But they aren’t there either.
And then it happened. As I am always looking for those shoes I loved so much way back when, I searched for the brand and what! What is this! A pair not entirely dissimilar to the ones I’ve been on a worldwide quest for for the last several years! (I’ve looked in 3 countries and on countless websites) .
But the problems I now face:
1. What about the Pumas??
2. How do I justify another pair of shoes to B, except by possibly purging half of the shoes in my closet now that I have the ones I was buying in my grief?
And possibly the most important question:
Black?
or Red??

Those are some funny shaped canoes there, aina?

Oh I gotta say BOTH (and another black to spare LOL) - when you find a shoe that fits - you buy multiples of it LOL You never know if you will find them again
Sorry B but that is just a girl’s way…..
And hey you are throwing away theold pair so that is one less set of shoes in the closet
Kristina
Both.
LOL

I dont think color should matter….they will both leave substantial craters in the earth.
:-D

Ahem, I agree with both. You will have to sacrificially purge some shoes like you said but it will be worth it. And if you MUST choose it’s definitely RED! You’re so European.
Mom
Black-they go with EVERYTHING!
